When are the dead, dead?  In this episode Eugenia & Gerri look at the horror genre with the current round of zombie shows!!  Now zombies have been around since the early 1800s (think of Frankenstein’s monster for one), but in recent times shows about them just keep coming, just like the zombies!  So have a listen to what they think is so cool about zombies.  Gerri although not generally scared by anything in horror (her horror movies are films like Silence of the Lambs, you know the ones with human monsters), she does say that the first episode of The Walking Dead scared the bejeebers out of her when Rick is stuck in an armoured vehicle in the first ep!  Eugenia loves iZombie who she feels does not take its self seriously and Gerri’s is Z Nation, a show that shows the ridiculous side of humanity!  So if they are talking about zombies who are Eugenia & Gerri talking with in this episode!  From their vaults they have an interview with the “bad boy” everyone loves Norman Reedus who plays Daryl Dixon and Chad Coleman who plays Tyreese Williams both from The Walking Dead.  Eugenia & Gerri would like to thank  Oz Comic Con http://www.ozcomiccon.com   and Blue Planet PR www.blueplanetpr.com.au    for the chance to interview these two wonderful actors.

issuu podcast 76Sometimes a movie just hits the right spot. However, this movie took a little while to catch on but when it did!! Eugenia and Gerri talk about The Rocky Horror Picture show which they believe to be the first and only Science Fiction musical! Who knew it? Full of aliens, frankensteinish monster, but a cute one hey and more! This movie released in 1975 and at the time a confrontational regarding some of the social issues which are still debated today. Rocky Horror is now a popular and permanent feature in popular culture and in fact is the longest-running release in film history with 20th Century Fox never pulling it from its original 1975 release. It continues to inspire and is generally shown at midnight in many theatres around the world with almost an obligatory ‘if you attend then you must wear a costume from the film”. In this episode Eugenia and Gerri were more than overwhelmed when they got to interview one of the iconic actors from this iconic movie. It is none other than the wonderful and amazing Patricia Quinn, otherwise known as Lady Stephens (a real one!) who plays Magenta in the movie. She also talks about her appearance on Doctor Who on the Sylvester McCoy story Dragonfire which was also the story Ace becomes the new companion of the Doctor. See if you can hear a little cultural bonding of Patricia and Gerri as they both break into their hometown accents. Eugenia and Gerri would like to thank Oz Comic Con http://www.ozcomiccon.com and Blue Planet PR http://www.blueplanetpr.com.au for the chance to spend some time with this amazing woman.

Who in their childhood did not want to be a movie or TV star when they grew-up? In this episode Eugenia and Gerri discuss some of the younger actors that we see on our big and small screens! They discuss the roles that they take on and how they help tell a story and make it more real! Some of the kids that are on our screens are not even able to watch the shows/movies that they are in because of the rating that is then put onto the show. Some of them have scared us silly and some of them have made us laugh and long to do what they are doing. So what else do they have for you? Lots! They have not one, not two but three interviews for you in this episode, Chandler Riggs who plays Carl in popular The Waking Dead and Jodelle Ferland who has been seen in many genre shows. The last interview is with Chandler’s father William Riggs who is not only his father but also his teacher. They hope that you enjoy this insight into the younger actors in our favourite shows. They would like to thank Daniel and Lionel http://www.lionelmidfordpublicity.com from Supanova Pop Culture Expo and you can find them at http://www.supanova.com.au. Keep an eye on their site as Supanova are expanding their events in to more cities, so they may be coming to one near you soon!

issuu podcast 52The world of B grade Science Fiction movies is the topic of discussion in this podcast. Eugenia and Gerri talk about memorable movies that don’t quite make the A list of movies or even the C and D lists! They talk about Plan 9 from Outer Space, Starship Troopers, The Man with Two Heads and Slipstream just to name a few. However, there is one movie that they both rave about and that is Sand Sharks produced by and starring Corin Nemec from Stargate SG-1, Parker Lewis Can’t Lose and Supernatural fame and also starring Brooke Hogan (Hulk’s daughter) and Edgar Allen Poe IV who is a direct descendant of horror writer Edgar Allen Poe. In a very chatty interview with Corin Eugenia and Gerri find out a lot about his many interests and experiences being part of a growing television industry. Corin talks about his time on Supernational and Stargate SG-1, working with David Faustino on the show Star-ving and we also find out about his writing aspirations and talent as an artist. Their thanks go to Gifts for the Geek http://www.giftsforthegeek.com.au and The Hub Productions http://www.thehubproductions.com for the opportunity to interview Corin. Corin was present at Oz Comic Con in Adelaide in 2012 http://www.ozcomiccon.com .
