issuu podcast 134In this episode Eugenia and Gerri have been able to “transform” a one interview episode into three!!! How did they do this? Whilst looking into their vault of interviews for a topic they found that they had three interviews about the transformation of an 80s cartoon series into a live action movie franchise! So, what is this episode about, well it’s about Transformers of course. The cartoon series that captured the imagination of many children and when they also got the toys that “transformed” from cars and trucks into ‘super beings’, who could blame them? They also discuss how CGI can enhance or take away from the storytelling of a movie. The interviews they have in this episode transport us from animation to live action and include, Garry Chalk, the voice of the 80s Optimus Prime ( Colonel Chekov in Stargate SG-1). Tony Award winner, Julie White , who played Julie Witwicky from the live action movies. Last, but not the least of them, Mark Ryan who voices the much loved Bumblebee. Eugenia and Gerri would like to thank Culture Shock Events www.cultureshockevents.com for the interview with Garry. Bill and Adele from Armageddon New Zealand www.armageddon.com for the interview with Mark and Daniel from Supanova www.supanova.com.au and Lionel from www.lionelmidfordpublicity.com for the interview with Julie.

issuu podcast 102In this episode Eugenia and Gerri talk about the hero! Heroes such as Robin Hood and King Arthur ignite our imagination allowing us to take part in stories where “might” is fought and good wins! Stories such as these have inspired us for thousands of years and television and film have since their invention given us many interpretations of these stories! Eugenia and Gerri talk about the variations over the years and how film and program makers can at time sanitise history and the violence. They discuss how shows such as Game of Thrones are a truer representation of the way history is and not the versions that we see with Robin Hood and King Arthur! Even though the subject matter may be takes a serious bent they don’t talk about it for long because they have three wonderful interviews from such shows with Alfie Allen, Theon Greyjoy from Game of Thrones, Tom Hopper, Sir Percival From Merlin and Mark Ryan from Robin of Sherwood, armour, swords and arrows who could want more? They would like to thank Daniel and Lionel from http://www.supanova.com.au and http://www.lionelmidfordpublicity.com for Tom Hopper and Alfie Allen’s interview and http://www.armageddonexpo.com/nz for Mark Ryan’s interview.
