Episode 91 – The Hobbit Who Could – Sean Astin

Every now and again there is what may be called an “epic” movie and in recent times there has been not only one but a whole series of epic movies! Made in Gerri and Eugenia’s neighbouring country of New Zealand, they are of course, The Lord of the Rings trilogy! In this episode they talk about the movies, who really was the “hero” and of course that magnificent country, New Zealand! (Did you know that Australia still has in its constitution that New Zealand can decide to join as part of its Commonwealth!) So, of course they are discussing the Lord of the Ring movies and they also get to talk with the amazing Sean Astin, who played Samwise Gamgee, who Gerri really thinks is the most important of the Hobbits and the most important character of the story. Sean is no stranger to our screens appearing in The Goonies, Jeremiah, 24 and voicing Raphael in the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series.
